The central government has fixed July 31 for filing and paying ITR for the financial year 2023. The government has clarified that the deadline for filing an ITR will not be extended beyond this date.

PhonePe introduces a new feature called ‘Income Tax Payment‘. The feature will allow taxpayers to pay self-assessment and advance tax directly from within the app. The feature will allow users to pay taxes using UPI or other available modes of payment.

Meanwhile, it is known that sometimes, while the tax payment is being made, the servers are barking due to the increase in the number of users. As a solution to this problem, PhonePay said that it is starting the Income Tax Payments feature. It has been revealed that taxpayers will be enabled to make self-assessment and advance tax payments directly through the app using UPI or credit card payments. Phone Pay has partnered with leading B2B payments and services company Paymate to bring this new service.

The new feature allows users to easily pay taxes using their credit card or UPI. This feature comes with additional benefits for credit card payments, the company said that using this feature brought by PhonePay, users can get an interest free period of 45 days and also receive reward points on their tax payments depending on the bank.
