Apply Voter ID, Apply For Voter ID Card Online
The Election Commission of India (ECI) gives a voter identification card to every citizen who has reached the age of 18 on the qualifying date (1st of January of the year of revision of the electoral roll) to participate in the democratic election of the nation. An elector’s photo identity card, also known as a voter card, is used as identification for a variety of official purposes.
Apply For Voter ID Card Online
- New applications for voter card applications are open. Earlier, it was on the NVSP site, but all the options have been shifted to the ECI site.
- Everyone can now apply for a new voter card, and there is no charge. The application can also be done online on a mobile device.
- After the voter has registered, the Election Commission will print the card if the concerned BLO approves. There is also an option to download an e-voter card.
- No application form is required to apply on your mobile device. Aadhaar card and photo is enough to apply for a new application.
New Vote Card Application Process:
Step 1: First, click on the official website link given below.
Step 2 : Click on Login or Sign-Up if you already have an account on the NVSP site or the ECI site. Click on Sign-Up even if you don’t know if you have an account.

Step 3: Enter your mobile number in the Mobile Number box. Any number does not matter. Enter the Captcha code and click on Continue.

Step 4: Enter your name in First Name, Last Name, Password, Confirm Password, and New Password. In Password, enter 1, 2, 3.. A, B, C.. a, b, c.. @, #,… to be one of all. Take note. Click on Request OTP.

Step 5 : You will receive a 6 digit OTP on the mobile number you provided earlier. Enter that number. Click on Verify & Submit.

Step 6 : It will show “You Are Successfully Signed Up Kindly Login With Your New Credentials”. It means you have created an account on ECI site. Click on Login.

Step 7 : Enter your mobile number at Registratered Mobile No, enter the password given earlier at Password, enter Captcha and click on Request OTP.

Step 8: A 6 digit OTP will be sent to the mobile number you provided earlier. Enter that number. Click on Verify & Login.

Step 9 : Click on Fill Form 6 on Home page to apply for new voter card.
Data should be filled in total 12 sections. They are
- Select State, District & AC
- Personal Details
- Relatives Details
- Contact Details
- Aadhaar Details
- Gender
- Date of Birth details
- Present Address Details
- Disability Details
- Family member Details
- Declaration
- Captcha
After filling the above data, final submit should be done.

Step 10 : The first one is State, District & Assembly Constituency / Parliamentary Constituency section

Details to be given. Click on ↓Next.

Step 11 : In Personal Details
- First Name
- Family Name
- Passport Size Photograph
Should be uploaded. Photo should not exceed 2MB in JPG / JPEG format. Then click on ↓Next

Step 12 : Relatives Details
In relation to Father / Mother / Husband / Wife / Guardians / Hijras
- The name
- Family name
Enter the details and click on ↓Next

Step 13 : Contact Details
Send OTO by entering your own mobile number or the mobile number of the person mentioned above Send OTP and enter the OTP and verify. Be very careful about the mobile number, whatever mobile number is given, the same mobile number will be used for downloading the card in future and other things.
Enter E-mail ID details if any. Otherwise there is no need. Then click on ↓Next

Step 14 : Enter Aadhaar Details
- Aadhaar Number
Enter and click on ↓Next.

Step 15 : In Gender
Gender
- Male
- Female
- Third Gender
Select one and click on ↓Next.

Step 16 : Date of Birth details
- Date Of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
Enter and upload the certificate in JPG/JPEG/PDF format within 2MB.
Uploading any one of the below mentioned DOB documents is sufficient
- DateBirth Certificate issued by Competent Local Body/Municipal Authority/Registrar of Births & Deaths
- Aadhaar Card
- Pan Card
- Driving License
- Certificates of Class X or Class XII issued by CBSE/ICSE/ State Education Boards, if it contains Date of Birth
- Indian Passport
The candidate must self attest the document i.e. put signature / stamp on the xerox copy. Then click on ↓Next.

Step 17 : Present Address Details
As is currently the candidate

Enter the details and upload the certificate in JPG/JPEG/PDF format within 2MB.
Uploading any one of the following address documents is sufficient.
- Water/Electricity/Gas connection Bill for that address(atleast 1 year)
- Aadhaar Card
- Current passbook of Nationalized/Scheduled Bank/Post Office
- Indian Passport
- Revenue Department’s Land Owning records including Kisan Bahi
- Registered Rent Lease Deed(In case of tenant)
- Registered Sale Deed(In case of own house)
The candidate must self attest the document i.e. put signature / stamp on the xerox copy. Then click on ↓Next.

Step 18 : Disability Details
This section can be left out if you do not become a divyang (handicapped). However, only one of the following should be selected
- Locomotive (bone related)
- Visual
- Deaf & Dumb
- Other
If there is a certificate, put Yes and upload it. Otherwise tick NO. Then click on ↓Next.

Step 19 : Family member Details
This section should be touched only if anyone in the family has a voter card otherwise it is not necessary. If there is a card for the guardians of the mother and father in the family, enter their name, relationship, voter card number and click on ↓Next.

Step 20 : Declaration

Enter and enter the year and month of residence for how many years. Then enter the place where you are currently applying and enter the date of application and then click on ↓Next.

Step 21 : Enter Captcha
Enter the displayed Captcha code.

Step 22 : Then click on Save.

Step 23: Click on Preview and Submit. Check all the details. If it is wrong then it should be corrected by Keep Editing option. If everything is correct, click on Submit.

Step 24 : Are you sure you want to submit this form? comes that. Click on Yes.

Step 25 : Acknowledgment Number will be received while submitting the application. Note that number. The receipt will be downloaded through Download Acknowledgment. Take a print and keep it carefully. After approval by BLO you will get voter card number. And the new card will come by post to your given address or your BLO will come to them.
