Airtel launches Xstream AirFiber: which offers 5G speed, up to 64 device connectivity, and more

In terms of mobile, internet, and other wireless network services, Airtel provides a variety of prepaid and postpaid services. In order to broaden its selection, the telecom provider introduced its fixed wireless service, Airtel Xstream AirFiber, on Monday. With the introduction of this new internet access device, Airtel hopes to improve consumer internet connectivity, do away with the need for wired connections, and provide customers with ease and flexibility.

The plug-and-play Xstream AirFiber offers broad interior coverage and the ability to connect up to 64 devices at once with built-in Wi-Fi 6 technology. The telecom company asserts that Airtel Xstream AirFiber, which provides internet connections to users in fiber-dark areas, is the first 5G wireless Wi-Fi solution in the nation. Its objective is to deal with the problem of last-mile connection in both rural and urban areas of India, where getting access to fibre infrastructure is difficult.

The new Airtel Xstream AirFiber service is currently accessible to Airtel 5G subscribers in Delhi and Mumbai for the initial rollout. The business has promised to gradually roll out the service to all telecom circles, though.

Shashwat Sharma, Director of Consumer Business at Bharti Airtel, commented on the introduction of Airtel Xstream, saying, “India has seen the rapid growth of home broadband, but there are still areas without access to high-speed internet at home due to the practical difficulties of laying fibre in a country the size of India. AirFiber fills the experience gap for those who don’t have fibre to the house, even if fibre to the home will always define the greatest experience of Wi-Fi at home. With a pan-India deployment imminent, we are excited to announce the launch of Xstream AirFiber for customers in Delhi and Mumbai today.
